Leadership
Sukrit Agrawal
Sukrit Agrawal is a co-Founder and active board member of MedicSmart. He represents Litera Capital, an early investor in MedicSmart on the board of directors. Before founding MedicSmart, Sukrit was co-Founder and board member of American Medical Depot of from 1993 to 2020. He also previously held various positions in banking and government.
Sukrit is passionate about improving communities and populations through increasing access to education. He is active in the Agrawal Family Foundation, which funds educational and technology-based initiatives to improve the health and well-being of women, children and those with special needs around the world. Sukrit has served on the board of trustees for Florida International University and Nova Southeastern University. He is also an active member of the Miami Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization.
Sukrit received a B.S. in electrical engineering from Duke University and an MBA from Florida International University.
Akhil Agrawal
Akhil Agrawal is a co-Founder, CEO and active board member of MedicSmart. Before founding MedicSmart, Akhil was co-Founder and board member of American Medical Depot of from 1993 to 2020. Akhil brings over 25 years of senior leadership experience in Healthcare and Supply Chain, with a strong record of building successful startups. Mr. Agrawal is enthusiastic about this newest innovation and business venture.
Akhil has the honor of having been appointed to several government commissions over the last three decades. Akhil has served in leadership roles in—and is an active member of—numerous professional groups, corporate boards, and trade associations, including the Broward College Board of Trustees and American Heart Association. He is also active in philanthropy through the Agrawal Family Foundation.
Akhil received his degree in Finance from the University of Florida and is currently a PhD candidate at Florida Atlantic University. He and his wife, Mavara, have two children and reside in Weston, Florida.
Eduardo Lopez
Eduardo Lopez is the Chief Technology Officer of MedicSmart. Eduardo is responsible of overseeing all aspects
of hardware and software product development and the company’s infrastructure. Eduardo is an accomplished Information Technology professional with over three decades of demonstrated success. Throughout his career, Eduardo has held a variety of leadership positions, including directing IT departments, overseeing operations and security policies, managing ERP and EMR systems, and leading software development and infrastructure teams.
Eduardo is a passionate advocate of MedicSmart’s Safety as a Service solution and he’s been involved in the development of the product since 2016. He is a creative and effective strategic planner and decision-maker, with a passion for implementing the right solutions to align technology strategies with corporate goals.
Eduardo received a B.S. in systems engineering from Metropolitan University and lives in Plantation, FL with his family.
